Cancer prevention is a problem that must be dealt with seriously, if we are to ever rid ourselves of this devastating dis-ease. This condition does not just "attack" a healthy body. It does not “suddenly” appear; it develops over time, under certain conditions. Research shows that the overwhelming majority of these conditions are manmade, and can be eradicated.
For many years, it has been accepted that genetic predisposition played a major role in deciding whether or not one would have cancer; we now know that genetics play a very minor role--that's good news isn't it? Isn't it good to know that you are not a helpless victim? Although it has been the cause of death for millions of people, there are things that you can do to significantly reduce the probability that you will ever develop cancer.
Simply stated, cancer is a condition in which certain undifferentiated cells of the body begin to multiply and destroy other cells at an increasing rate, until tissues and organs can no longer function. There are at any given time antigens (microscopic harmful substances), and cancer cells circulating in your body, but they are kept in check – searched out and destroyed by your own natural protective mechanism – your “Defense System” (I prefer this term as opposed to “immune”, because I don’t agree that we are immune to anything).
You are constantly making internal adjustments to reach and maintain optimal health. It takes energy to nourish, protect and repair damaged cells, and create millions of new ones every minute. The integrity of your entire being from your molecular particles at the cellular level to your aura (the electromagnetic field that emanates from and surrounds you) depends on a healthy internal environment, which in turn depends on a peaceful state of mind, proper rest, fresh air, good nutrition and appropriate regular exercise. You must have a healthy internal environment to be cancer-free.
Next time, we'll discuss several ways to help create that healthy internal environment.
Until then, be well...
